Internship
As a Psychology intern you will will work closely with the clinical manager and senior counsellor who will give you assistance and guidance throughout your internship You will be exposed to all aspects of institution‘s treatment programme which is based on the principles of the Minnesota Model of treatment incorporated with the 12 step philosophy. This means you will gain exposure and experience in Psychodynamic Group Therapy, 12 steps groups, Related Groups, Didactic Learning and other areas.

Treatment Centre provides a comprehensive treatment programme to substance dependant clients. The objective of the programme is to improve their quality of life by stopping, reducing or reversing their dependency on substances. It offers a 40 bed in-patient treatment for adult males and females from the ages of 18 years and older. A multi-disciplinary approach is utilised to achieve their goals. The programme subscribes to international standards and offers the following: All health workers and psychologists are professionally qualified Sleep-in and further out-patient facilities Food (halaal) and medication (if required) Life-skills training Individual and family counselling Success rate up with the best in South Africa Duration of sleep-in treatment: 8 weeks with facility of additional 6 months out-patient.
