Metrorail's Premier Classe is also a luxury train, this runs twice a week to Johannesburg and takes 25 hours.

Within Cape Town and other major cities
Metrorail Western Cape covers all major train connections in Cape Town and its surroundings. The main station is located in the city center in Adderley Street and has regularly low-cost connections to the South via Observatory, Newlands, Muizenberg, Kalk Bay, Fish Hoek and Simon's Town.
There are connections to the Northern suburbs from the city center to Parow, Bellville, Brackenfell all the way up to Stellenbosch and also to Worcester. The trains run to a fixed schedule and are very cheap, relatively safe and reliable. You can often choose between first and third class.
