FAQs
| Will I get paid during my internship in CapeTown? | |

| Do I need to apply for an internship/ voluntary visa? | |
| Depending on your country of origin there are different procedures for visa applications. If you are from a visa exempt country, www.dha.gov.za/Counties Exempy from SA Visaa.html, you do not need a visa in order to do an internship in South Africa of 90 days or less. You may enter South Africa on your exemption of 90 days and will receive a Temporary Residence permit upon arrival. You may apply for an extension at least 30 days before the visa expires and you will receive an extension of 90 days to cover the rest of your time (as long as you are not getting paid in the country). This extension may be applied for once only and should be applied for at your nearest Regional Office of the Department of Home Affairs. Important however is to always check with your nearest South African embassy whether a visa is required as regulations change at short notice. | |
